Participation in this workshop caused me to change my lesson plan, today. Using the "word wall" cards you prepared allowed me to facilitate competitive, cooperative learning groups. Critical thinking, cooperative and knowlege-based learning and social skills were elevated. A lot of constructive conversation and deductive reasoning took place, too. It was fun for all.
the word wall is not just for decoration- I will have to remember that everything is a work in progress; we are never through learning/teaching- the word wall is/has been a tool that I have under used and I hope to work with my team/ plc member to identify more ways to incorporate its use.
One Brain Best strategy that works well with literacy strategies is the Images. This includes drawing, project based assignments and graphs which help students transfer literacy knowledge is an easy and fun format. Most EC students respond well to this strategy as they are quite often kinesthetic learners....L Long
Our goal for professional development this year is to meet the specific needs of members of our Professional Learning Community. After each professional development opportunity, participants are asked to reflect and then comment on the presentation and on the implementation of the strategies in your classroom.
We believe we can build a core of professional knowledge that will benefit each of us.
Additionally, independent professional development will be offered online. Staff members who participate in online p.d. should write a reflection of their work on the blog.

I'm glad you were able to use what we talked about... and that you were able to post!
Thanks for the feedback.
